Healthy Deaf Minds

There will be a meeting on Wednesday 26 November 2008, here at the Deaf Cultural Centre, with Rebecca-Anne Withey who will talk about her work at the West Browmich and District YMCA.

Rebecca-Anne is the new Healthy Living Access Co-ordinator for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing people in the Midlands. One of her aims is to make YMCA Healthy Living activities accessible for the Deaf Community.

It will start at 7pm and finish at 9.30pm.

BSL Interpreters are provided.

You can buy drinks and refreshments including hot food from our Culture Cafe which is open until 8pm. The Bar will be open from 5pm to 11pm.

This is the 2nd Healthy Deaf Minds meeting to be held outside London and the aim is for an organising committee to be established in the Midlands to make the meetings regular.

Aladdin's Christmas Wish

Presented by 3D Derby Deaf Drama Group in Sign Language with voiceover.

Following the sell out success of Wizard of Oz at Derby Dance Centre last year, 3D Derby Deaf Drama group are back to present another magical Christmas treat for the whole family. Aladdin's Christmas Wish is a brand new show featuring all your favourite characters, three wishes and a lamp. Expect songs, festive magic and lots of audience participation!
