Creative Hands (Deaf Arts Festival)
Back for the 2nd year running, Deaf Arts Network UK (DANUK) organised this weekend-long festival.
Wednesday 10th June opened with an evening private viewing followed by creative 'making masks' workshops on the Thursday and Friday with Deaf and Hard of Hearing children and young people from Percy Shurmer and Longwill Primary Schools. Pupils from Deansfield High School in Wolverhampton also attended.
Saturday 13th June from 12pm until 6pm, artists had a stall to sell some of their skilled work whilst in Ashton Rooms, Deaf Artists Iva Hay and Linda Bagnall led creative 'making mask' family workshop. Around 30 people attended this day.
