Birmingham City Council, with support from the Consortium of LGBT VCO (Voluntary and Community Organisations), will be carrying out a consultation specifically for LGBT carers.

The LGBT consultation together with accompanying consultation findings will be used to inform the redesign of an emergency services for all carers. The objectives of the consultation will be:

• to identify emergency situations for LGBT carers
• to determine the current response to emergency situations for LGBT carers
• to determine the outcomes for LGBT carers as a result of the response
• to identify possible solutions to providing emergency cover for LGBT carers.

Your views and opinions will be valuable in ensuring that the new emergency service for carers meets the needs of LGBT carers.
