Job vacancies: play scheme staff

The Deaf Cultural Centre will run a play scheme during the school holidays for deaf children living in the Birmingham area aged 8 to 16 years old. This will take place during February half term and other school holiday times.

 

We are seeking to recruit a Play scheme Leader & Play workers of the play scheme. The Play Leader will be responsible for running the scheme daily and the Play workers will assist by promoting a high quality, child-centred play service within a safe and secure environment.

 

Play leader - £7.69 per hour

 

Play workers - £6.50 per hour

 

Casual contract (As and when required)

 

Applications from Deaf people are particularly welcome.

Closing date: Friday 8 January 2010 by 12 noon
Interviews: Wednesday 13 January 2010 (please note the interview will be held after 4.00pm)

 

The successful candidates must have excellent BSL skills and should have a recognised qualification in child care, play work or youth work (e.g. NNEB) and a First Aid qualification if desirable.
