Community Day
Birmingham Deaf Community Group is launching their very first 'Community Day' on Saturday 17th September at the Deaf Cultural Centre.
Community Days will be taking place once a month on Saturdays at the
Deaf Cultural Centre from 11am until 9pm. This is an exciting initiative
by the BDCG to encourage community members to meet at a central venue,
catch up with old friends, make new friends and partake in various
activities including games and sports such as including bingo, chess and
pool.
We also have InteGreat Theatre who have kindly agreed to come in
and deafoto who will be delivering a photography workshop.
There is something for everyone!
BDCG and the Deaf Cultural Centre will also be welcoming Llandudno Deaf
Club who are making a special visit on the same day! We hope some of you
will come and make them very welcome!
Doors open at 11am.
Various activities will start at different times throughout the day (see below):
12pm - 3pm: Bingo
From 12pm onwards: Chess
1pm - 4pm: Deafoto
3pm: Llandudno Deaf Club arrives and Buffet for everyone opens - yes, it is free this time!
6pm - 9pm: Activities for Young People
6:30pm - 8:30pm: InterGreat Theatre
Bar will be open from 1pm. On this occasion, the Community Day will
close at 9pm but there are plans for Community Days in the future to
remain open until late.
