The
Deaf Cultural Centre/Deaf Arts Network will establish partnerships with
local and national art galleries, agencies, theatres a organisations
to develop new projects. Projects will involve training and providing
workshops, to raise awareness of Deaf people as artists and the
knowledge and skills that they offer.
Art by
Professional Deaf Artists to be showcased at the Deaf Cultural Centre
with either exhibitions by individuals or as a group throughout the year
to develop an annual week-long Deaf Arts Festival - the first one in 2008.
to become an official network to
support young Deaf people who are studying to become professional
artists and empowering them with the knowledge that the Deaf Arts
Network are there for guidance and support.
to
provide work experience in organising creative events, community
celebration/festivals, curating and devising creative production.
