Background

The Deaf Arts Network is a first for Deaf and Hard of Hearing artists in the Midlands and we encourage those from all over the UK to join as well!  

The development and popularity of this project has been astounding.  Our  members include artists from different regions in the UK, all with differing cultures and interests, with each specialising in different art forms and mediums.  They all have a a passion for their work and an appetite for gaining skills in professional development.

Displaying and developing art and performance by deaf people is one of the Centre’s aims and very much at the heart of its vision.

The Deaf Cultural Centre provides a welcoming, inclusive space for deaf artists to deliver their knowledge and skills to other deaf artists, to take risks, and share experiences.

The Centre will also be used by deaf people who would like to learn the basics of drawing and painting or to improve their existing skills.
