'Creative Hands'

‘Creative Hands’, the inspiring title of the festival, brought together a 20 strong group of Deaf and hard of hearing artists  who arranged activities for the week long festival.  The aim was to show the importance of the arts and creative processes within Deaf culture.

The festival took place from the 7^th – 12^th April 2008 at the Deaf Cultural Centre.

In addition to this there was an exhibition showcasing Deaf Artists’ work.    

This is just one of many pioneering events that will take place over the next year.

Deaf and hard of hearing artists from all over the UK are welcome to either join in the Deaf Arts Network or to be involved in the fesitval next year or to exhibit their work during the festival week.
